THE POSITION: As an EDI Manager, you'll be working on solutions, development, and testing for EDI initiatives. You'll collaborate with account management, IT project teams to develop and enhance EDI solutions for clients. Collaborate with operations, infrastructure, and support teams. Take ownership of critical issues and manage them through resolution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, analyze, and manage all EDI functions.
- Develop and implement an EDI strategy to support organizational initiatives.
- Oversee team developing and translating requirements into technical design, developing comprehensive solutions.
- Design efficient, reusable technical solutions to meet client and business partner EDI needs.
- Ensure success in producing code to meet design specifications using X12 Standards, XML, AS2, (S)FTP and other technologies.
- Minimize risk and maximize opportunities by communicating issues and proposed resolutions to stakeholders.
- Provide production support involving other teams as needed.
- Look for continuous improvement of the EDI platform.
- Build and maintain working relationships with leaders, peers, and business users.
- Manage maintenance and backup plans.
- Lead projects with assigned team and cross-functionally.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- All other duties as assigned.
PEOPLE LEADER:
- Responsible for and oversee department.
- Interview, select, and supervise staff activities.
- Communicate and interpret company policies and procedures.
- Determine job objectives, work methods, and performance standards.
- Review performance, conduct performance appraisals, authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge.
EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:
- Travel (up to 10%)
- Hours (40 hours per week, 5 days a week)
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field
- 8+ years of hands-on development experience with EDI technologies
- Proven track record of success with EDI technologies.
- Proficiency with AS2, XML, (S)FTP and similar technologies.
- Development and system administration experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and Gentran.
- Development and system admin experience with Lightwell B2B Framework.
- Experience with ANSI X12 EDI transactions (810, 812, 820, 844, 849, 850, 856, 940, 944, 945, 947).
- Experience with Visual Basic programming
- SQL development experience
