Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our virtual support team. This remote position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a flexible environment and has a strong background in bookkeeping for small businesses across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks Online and/or other accounting software
- Prepare monthly financial statements and custom reports for clients
- Process payroll and related filings (as needed)
- Manage invoicing, payment tracking, and expense categorization
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal procedures
- Collaborate with clients and internal team members to ensure accurate, timely financial data
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end preparations
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience (remote experience preferred)
- Accounting Degree (preferred)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (certification preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with additional tools (e.g., Gusto, FreshBooks, Xero, Microsoft Excel) is a plus
