ABOUT THE ROLE
The Facilities Specialist is responsible for interior and exterior maintenance of all Credit Union facilities, performing custodial, facilities, courier, and clerical duties. They assist in maintaining the credit union's Records Retention and Destruction program.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Cleaning branches
- Trash removal
- Purchasing cleaning/maintenance supplies
- Scheduling maintenance
- Snow removal
- Minor construction/handyman tasks
- Completing errands and tasks
- Ensuring facilities are clear of debris
- Maintaining parking lots
- Performing snow/ice removal
- Performing facilities duties (replacing light bulbs, moving furniture, relocating records, setting up rooms)
- Maintaining supply inventory
- Monitoring building and grounds conditions
- Setting up rooms for events/meetings
- Handling back-office supplies
- Monitoring office supply ordering
- Maintaining Records Retention and Destruction Policy
- Partnering with 3rd party vendor for record storage/destruction
- Overseeing shredding
- Acting as a liaison with 3rd party vendor
- Performing courier duties (branch-to-branch travel, maintenance tasks, transporting mail)
- Performing other facilities/clerical duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work in varying conditions (noise, heat, dust, snow, ice)
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Strong service orientation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to use power tools safely
- Excellent verbal, reading comprehension, and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Internet)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to function in a financial institution environment
- Use of standard office equipment (postage machine, fax, copier, telephone)
