Full-Time Finance Analyst (Reinsurance Accountant)

• Perform all aspects of reinsurance accounting.
• Payments of deposit premium for XOL treaties
• Quarterly financial ceded premium on XOL treaties - GNWP & GNEP Basis
• XOL treaty True-up calculations
• GL reconciliation - (Premiums Payable XOL) for quarterly close including commentary and each treaty reviewed quarterly
• GL reconciliation - (Premiums Payable QS) - review list of treaties quarterly working to verify accuracy
• QS accounts - Rending and settlements along with applying cash call credits
• Assistance with collateral review and requests - annual process
• LOC maintenance (increases and decreases required)
• Collaborating with appropriate stakeholders for operational set-up of new reinsurance treaty, captive or facultative agreements
• Special reporting required with affiliates
• Facultative loss calculations – financial closings and management reporting

• 3+ years experience in an insurance/reinsurance accounting role within a property & casualty insurance company
• Strong excel skills (Pivot, v-lookups)
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and analysis.
• Desire to pursue innovation and improvement
• Has strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
• 3 to 6 years’ experience working in Accounting/Finance with emphasis in the insurance/reinsurance industry.
