As the newest team member, you will play a critical role in advancing clean energy access in Colorado and beyond, overseeing daily operations, ensuring financial integrity, and driving improvements for organizational growth.
Your 8 years of accounting and finance experience, expertise in financial reporting and budgeting, and passion for clean energy will be instrumental in improving internal controls, compliance, and CCEF's overall financial health.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting activities, including billing, financial reporting, general ledger (GL), accounts receivable (AR)/accounts payable (AP), payroll, and compliance.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement a robust internal control framework to protect assets, maintain financial integrity, and ensure policy adherence.
- Assist with onboarding and vendor management, coordinating invoices, payments, and tax requirements.
- Manage tax filings, statutory reporting, and audits, coordinating with external auditors and accounting firms to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Create budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, including in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and current CPA, CFA, or CMA (Master's degree is a plus)
- 8+ years of professional experience as a controller responsible for accounting and financial reporting within a lending or financial institution
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and GAAP standards for lending or finance
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational, time management, and collaboration skills, with a talent for building relationships
- Passion for clean energy technologies (direct experience a plus)
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary $100,000 - $115,000 based on experience, plus comprehensive benefits
