Full-Time Games - Senior Technical Designer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Designer to join our team on an unannounced AAA game. The primary focus is implementing game UI via visual scripting using the Frostbite engine and tools.

Ideal candidate will have strong software engineering fundamentals, attention to detail, and excellent communication/collaboration skills. This is a full-time, 100% remote position.

1. Create functional UI elements within the Frostbite editor, utilizing the entity component system.
2. Write maintainable, high-quality code using Frostbite's visual scripting language to implement UI logic and ensure seamless data integration with backend systems.
3. Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Project Leadership to review UI designs, assess scope, and estimate feature development.
4. Deliver high-quality UI features with attention to visual detail.
5. Collaborate with technical designers and engineers.

Experience Requirements:

• 3-4 years' experience in game development or related field in a technically-oriented design/implementation/engineering role.
• At least one shipped game in a technical design or software engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals (OOP, algorithms, data structures).
• Proven ability to debug, optimize, and document technical issues.
• Strong communication skills to update team members, customers, and stakeholders.
• Strong UI/UX principles and proficiency implementing/optimizing assets to meet engine requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Unreal Engine (UMG, Blueprint), Unity (NGUI, UGUI, visual scripting), or similar game engines.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science.
• Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Suite.
