IFS is now recruiting a VP of Business Solutions to drive the future of our business platforms.
You will have the responsibility for leading IFS internal Business Platforms through strategy, run and change in an evolving and growing organization.
The role will oversee direct platforms strategic change and tactical operations and the overall health for all applications services in its remit while managing key vendor contracts and relationships.
This comprehensive role requires a dynamic leader who can drive the successful delivery of IT services and applications, ensuring a business-led approach and alignment with organizational goals while always fostering a culture of our people first, excellence and continuous improvement driving value for our business.
This role will be responsible for building high-performing teams in an international environment, leveraging our IFS platforms to drive our business and proactively looking for value and opportunities to support our business through platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties and accountabilities
- Management and leadership of our end-to-end platform teams, a real team leader who can drive high-performing international teams.
- Driving business-driven strategic platform roadmaps, maximizing platform capabilities and process standardization.
- Responsible for the delivery of internal critical business applications services to the user community developing specific objectives, budgets, resources, and operations to support them.
- Assist Business Product Owners, Process Owners, IT Business Partners and the Project Management Office to define and deliver their applications demand pipeline often working within a larger initiative with key dependencies.
- Work with all stakeholders to optimize resources and resolve conflicting priorities looking how to optimize outcomes for our business.
- Own the overall design and support of the global applications environment ensuring its health and working with the Operations Support team to adhere to overall IT SLAs and working practices, including the evolution of and execution of methodologies for all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Develop and implement data quality and governance standards, identify, and assign business owners in each area as needed to ensure the maintained integrity of our data.
- Responsible for continuous improvement and simplification of processes as part of the IT Leadership Team, team collaboration and outcome-focused is key to this role.
Qualifications
To be successful you will have:
- Min. 5 years of ERP or large business platforms experience, medium to large enterprise at a leadership level
- Min. 5 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, cross-function teams and projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders required.
- A successful track record as a leader, developer, and manager of people; demonstrated experience to attract, retain and develop strong talent and build a positive organizational and team culture.
- Experience working across organizational boundaries on a local and global scope.
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
- Development practices including ITIL, Project Management delivery methodologies
- Great communication and listening skills across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated negotiation and complex problem-solving skills
- Ability to think about the future state and strategic directions while implementing quick wins and delivering business value in a cost-effective and agile manner
- Solution Architecture thinking across platforms with business process and outcomes focus
- Ability to work cohesively with other teams within the Information Technology department and within the IFS group, team collaboration working style is key
- Ability to effectively lead change management in a positive manner and to handle changing priorities.
- Proven high-performing people leader – development of international teams, leading from the front
Desirable
- Good knowledge of different project delivery methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) and how often to blend the 2 together working across several teams with an overall project management layer
- Knowledge in leading Design Authorities, driving collaborative design solutions, looking for out of the box solutions
- Project Management Qualification (Prince, PMP)
