About the Role Ethos seeks a Head of Product Design to build the world's best, and most profitable, direct-to-consumer life insurance experience. You'll work with talented team members, raise UX design standards company-wide, and lead design excellence.
Responsibilities
- Hold your team accountable for high-quality design work that drives business outcomes.
- Partner with Product, Copy, and Engineering to build great products.
- Lead UX Design hiring and build a world-class design team.
- Mentor and develop your team.
- Develop UX guiding principles for agile teams.
- Define and optimize the process from consumer problem to MVP design (concept design, user research, usability testing, refinement).
- Coach individual contributors.
- Refine the UX design career ladder.
Qualifications
- 10+ years UX design experience, 5+ years leading/managing a design team.
- 4+ years direct-to-consumer design experience, driving conversion rate gains.
- Mastery of visual and interaction design, typography, and hierarchy.
- Exceptional individual contributor skills.
- Experience partnering with product and engineering.
- Experience attracting and hiring design talent.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Portfolio showcasing successful product launches.
- Excellent communication skills.
