About the JobWe seek a highly motivated and security-conscious IT Administrator to build and maintain our robust IT infrastructure in a fast-paced blockchain environment with a globally distributed workforce.
Responsibilities
- Security Infrastructure Development: Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure, following Zero Trust principles. Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for IT systems and devices, considering regional regulations and network conditions.
- Device Management & MDM: Manage device procurement, distribution, and lifecycle for a diverse team. Implement and manage MDM to ensure device security and compliance.
- Cloud & SaaS Administration: Administer Google Workspace, SSO, SaaS applications and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) ensuring secure access and configuration.
- Access Control & Identity Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control across systems, applying least privilege and separation of duty principles. Implement and maintain SSO and MFA.
- Security Tooling & Integration: Evaluate, select, and onboard security solutions (endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability scanners). Integrate security tools with existing systems for effective threat detection and response.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline IT operations and enhance security. Automate security tasks (patch management, vulnerability scanning, secure configuration).
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT and security vendors. Evaluate vendor security practices and ensure compliance.
- Incident Response: Participate in security incident response and investigations, coordinating with remote team members and external partners.
- User Support & Training: Provide technical support across multiple time zones. Conduct IT security awareness training tailored to distributed workforce risks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Administrator, ideally in a startup with a global workforce.
- Strong understanding of threat models in blockchain environments.
- Proactive application of security principles (Zero Trust) in a remote work context.
- Experience with MDM solutions, Google Workspace, SSO, and cloud SaaS (global accessibility and security).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Experience with security tools for remote management.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and adaptability in diverse technical environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for a geographically dispersed team.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities/deadlines.
- Experience in international hardware shipping.
- Experience securing GitHub access.
- Experience with blockchain technologies.

- Relevant security certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, AWS Certified Security).
- Experience with blockchain operational security best practices.
- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes security.
