Main Goal: Manage the Gameplay Programming team to deliver engaging player experiences, fostering a healthy and motivating environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assign, delegate, and support team members, monitoring progress.
- Provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
- Evaluate direct reports, offering career development insights.
- Foster an engaging environment, balancing work/life by setting clear expectations.
- Collaborate with other leads, directors, and stakeholders.
- Implement director's vision, contributing data and raising issues.
- Complete tasks autonomously.
- Integrate shared components, enhancing shared modules.
- Implement high-quality code, addressing risks proactively.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Stay informed of best practices.
- Work with production to plan development and assign tasks.
- Oversee gameplay features from design to implementation.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure engaging experiences.
- Establish scripting best practices.
- Develop and maintain systems architecture.
- Test, debug, profile, and optimize implementations.
- Supervise documentation.
