ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Legislative & Regulatory Monitoring and Research: Track and monitor legislation, regulatory actions, and committee activity. Conduct background research on policy issues. Prepare weekly legislative summaries and policy impact briefs. Assist with drafting internal memos, talking points, and briefing documents.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in scheduling and preparing materials for meetings. Lobby US Congressional and US Administration agency staff. Attend hearings, briefings, and stakeholder events.
REQUIRED
8-10 years government, trade association or think tank experience. Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or related field
SKILLS
Strong writing, research, and organizational skills. Familiarity with federal legislative processes and regulatory frameworks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legislative tracking tools.
PREFERRED
Experience in a congressional office, federal agency, or advocacy organization. Understanding of US Congressional and agency legislative and regulatory processes. Bipartisan House and Senate relationships. Experience supporting congressional outreach or coalition-building efforts.
