Description
• The Managing UX/UI Designer will work closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams to understand complex user needs • Design intuitive platform experiences that address those needs • Deliver design solutions that delight stakeholders within and beyond the organization • Be the primary designer of our new teacher-facing curricular platform as well as the internal tooling surrounding its content management • Manage another UX/UI designer focused on maintaining and enhancing existing platforms • Help shape and maintain best practices within the Product Management / Design / Engineering trio
Requirements
• 5+ years leading the UX/UI design of web technology used by teachers • 2+ years experience in a management role • Experience triangulating design needs in collaboration with a Product Manager and Engineering team within an Agile methodology • Fluent in Figma for hifi mockups and prototyping • Strong understanding of and ability to incorporate accessibility into your work, including 508 compliance and WCAG 2.1 AA • Deep empathy for K–12 teachers • Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
