Summary The Marketing Communications Manager will lead the daily management of our PR agency and develop a strategic communications plan aligning with Avetta's business objectives, marketing campaigns, and messaging themes. In this high-impact role, you'll be responsible for aligning the overall brand narrative with external communications, leading external media relations, and developing thought leadership strategies to position Avetta as a global leader.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communications Leadership
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive strategic communications plan aligning with Avetta's business goals, marketing campaigns, and messaging priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, offering strategic guidance on communications, media engagement, and brand positioning.
- Act as a central conduit for all external communications, ensuring messaging consistency across departments, regions, and touchpoints.
- Public Relations and Media Strategy
- Lead all PR, media relations, and thought leadership efforts elevating Avetta's global brand and reputation.
- Provide strategic oversight for PR agency operations, ensuring alignment with Avetta's objectives and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with partners and influencers to secure impactful coverage.
- Identify and capitalize on real-time media engagement opportunities, tying to industry trends and breaking news.
- Oversee the creation, review, and distribution of press releases, ensuring timely and high-quality communications.
- Thought Leadership Development
- Collaborate with internal SMEs and executives to develop narratives aligning with Avetta's strategic messaging themes.
- Spearhead the creation of thought leadership content (whitepapers, bylines, keynote speeches) to position Avetta as an industry innovator.
- Work closely with the events team to secure high-profile speaking opportunities for executives and SMEs at global conferences and webinars.
- Customer Advocacy and Storytelling
- Partner with customer marketing teams to identify, develop, and amplify compelling customer success stories.
- Work with customers, partners, analysts for media opportunities, case studies, and testimonials.
- Leverage customer narratives to enhance brand perception and market differentiation.
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and media coverage to identify proactive communication opportunities.
- Lead quarterly business reviews with comprehensive reporting on PR and thought leadership initiatives, providing insights and actionable recommendations.
- Develop metrics and dashboards to measure communication efforts and demonstrate ROI.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven success managing PR agencies, leading strategic initiatives, and securing high-impact media opportunities.
- B2B SaaS industry experience is strongly preferred.
- 5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or related field.
- Proficiency in messaging frameworks, media relations, and thought leadership strategies.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working closely with executives, product teams, and marketing stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of industry trends, newsjacking opportunities, and audience engagement strategies.
