Job Details
SmartBrief's Technology and Telecom Newsletter Editor is responsible for the production and quality of B2B email newsletters for tech and telecom professionals. You will contribute to and manage curation, writing, editing and publishing partner relationships for technology and telecom industry readers. You will be responsible for quality curation, writing and editing, and content optimization for audience engagement, connection and growth. The editor serves as a strategic content partner for external clients and will also collaborate with internal product, marketing and sales teams.
What you'll do
- Curate, write and edit insightful and impactful B2B newsletters for professional tech & telecom readers.
- Collaborate with publishing partners to deepen industry knowledge.
- Monitor audience engagement and improve content to enhance content performance.
- Develop and refresh newsletter content strategy.
- Pitch, write, and edit original content for tech, telecom and related professionals.
- Support custom content programs with topic suggestions, line editing and writing on assets.
- Manage freelancer contributions to newsletters and other content.
- Occasional onsite coverage of industry events.
Experience
- Three or more years of B2B publishing experience covering tech and telecom news.
- Editing skills and comfort with using online publishing tools.
- Edit quickly on deadline, starting at 7 a.m. ET, Monday through Friday
- Knowledge of Associated Press style
