Job Details
The Payroll Tax Administrator resolves payroll tax issues and maintains compliance with federal and state tax laws.
Supports the payroll manager and payroll administrators.
Addresses inquiries from taxing jurisdictions.
Monitors compliance with federal and state payroll tax laws.
Analyzes data to make decisions, research issues and audit.
Researches and resolves payroll tax discrepancies.
Produces documentation to agencies and for audits.
Understands quarterly and annual filings for federal and multi-state payrolls.
Assists ADP with filings, account registrations, and account closings.
Collaborates with the payroll team to ensure daily compliance.
Serves as back up for payroll administrators and manager.
Education and Experience
Associate degree
Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll tax processing.
One year payroll experience
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Licenses/ Certifications
Fundamentals of Payroll Certification (preferred)
