Second Dinner is a remote-first studio, headquartered in Irvine, CA, with a team across the US.
Our Platform Services Team builds and maintains infrastructure enabling seamless game experiences for millions of players. We ensure secure and robust technology for services like accounts and in-app purchases.
Your RoleYou will report to the Head of Platform Technology. You'll collaborate across teams to define feature requirements, break down complex projects, evaluate solutions, and create a roadmap for the platform and game teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee end-to-end delivery and operation of platform services
- Coordinate with partner teams for new features
- Prioritize and break down complex projects
- Develop and evangelize a platform roadmap
- Align platform, studio, and game team visions
- Establish centralized processes for live workflows (App & IAP)
- Define SLAs, operational runbooks, and best practices
- Define release cadence and process
- Track and attribute organizational costs
- Mitigate bottlenecks and ensure team sustainability
- Ensure continuous improvement (task tracking, bug assignment, retrospectives, meetings)
What You’ll Need
- Experience operating a live game or platform service
- Manage technical stakeholder relationships (internal & external)
- Understanding of mobile game features & functionality
- Familiarity with distributed services and scalability
- Strong communication & empathy skills
- Passion for reducing uncertainty and creating great games
Nice to Have
- Experience with mobile submissions
- Experience with Unity
- Experience with AWS
Compensation$205,000 - $250,000 USD + equity + benefits + potential bonuses.
