Full-Time Principal UX Engineer

UX Engineer at ATPCO, bridging the gap between design and development, creating user-centered digital experiences.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, developers) to deliver intuitive interfaces.

Focus on front-end development, improving user experience, and supporting the ATPCO design system.

• Front-End Development: Develop/maintain interactive prototypes, user-facing interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (Angular, React, Vue). Implement interactive features, write automated tests, ensure responsive design.
• UX/UI Design: Apply HCI principles to convert wireframes/mockups into production-ready experiences.
• Collaboration: Act as liaison between design & engineering. Work with product managers to align UX/UI developments with business goals. Participate in design/code reviews.
• User-Centered Development: Ensure accessibility standards & analyze user metrics for improvements.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize front-end code, troubleshoot issues across platforms.
• Design Systems: Contribute to design system, develop reusable components for efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with design/front-end technologies. Recommend/implement improvements to enhance quality, productivity, user experience, conversions.
• Documentation and Management: Ensure design/technical artifacts are complete, managed properly, adhere to ATPCO standards.

Ideal Candidate

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Lead the development of ATPCO's overall front-end strategy and design systems.
• Define best practices for design/development, focusing on scalability & performance.
• Collaborate to integrate UX design into product roadmaps and ensure user-centric design.
• Technical leadership and mentorship to UX engineers/designers.
• Guide product strategy using data-driven insights and user feedback, ensuring seamless and accessible user experience.
• Ensure alignment of front-end development with overall business goals and product vision.
• Champion user-centered design and accessibility.
