Spowse is seeking a seasoned Product Marketer to elevate Spowse's standing as Africa's premier relationships and social networking app.
Reporting to the Product Manager, you will craft and implement regional marketing campaigns and go-to-market strategies, driving growth through integrated marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to best practices, providing strategic direction to campaigns and strategies aligned with short and long-term business objectives.
The role's core focus is driving new user acquisition in Africa through robust marketing planning, campaign execution, analytics monitoring, and brand building.
Liaison between the Africa marketing team and global teams is also critical to staying abreast of developments and strategies.
Tasks:
- Collaborate with Spowse marketing teammates to develop and execute strategies fostering new user growth in Africa.
- Develop and lead Integrated Brand campaigns and go-to-market strategies.
- Conceive and pitch innovative, culturally relevant go-to-market approaches.
- Manage internal resources to execute integrated campaigns (briefing, review, feedback, production, execution).
- Identify and address potential conflicts, scope changes, and alternative solutions.
- Lead the development of creative assets, ensuring localization across platforms.
- Collaborate with the internal media team and key partners to craft and execute media plans.
- Establish marketing processes, toolkits, and best practices, working with other marketing teammates and cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to product feature and launch marketing campaigns.
- Establish best practices across all markets for consistency.
- Track and measure campaign performance, communicating results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare presentations and communicate insights to management, the broader organization, and leadership teams (when appropriate).
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
- Manage relevant marketing budgets effectively and deliver work on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in large-brand campaign management, understanding communications and media planning.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of marketing in a tech environment.
- Proven success in driving customer acquisition and growth through digital and traditional media strategies.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with media and creative agencies.
- Experience in developing campaigns with disruptive and innovative go-to-market approaches, testing new media opportunities.
- Strong consumer knowledge, using consumer research and data to inform marketing strategy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, working with internal and external teams.
- Strong budget and project management skills, attention to detail, and communication prowess.
- Track record of successful digital campaigns.
- Understanding of social networking, dating, or other digital-first platforms, and strong belief in Spowse's brand vision and values.
- Proactive approach, anticipating needs, and ability to handle projects independently.
- Positive, committed, and adaptable attitude.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategies.
