Overall Purpose: An e-mobility backend platform is crucial for charging infrastructure. EV drivers rely on a dependable, error-free system. This requires thorough, automated testing of all software components to ensure the best charging experience. This role directly impacts the quality of the EV driver's main system interaction.
Main Tasks: As a Professional Test Automation Engineer, you will lead test activities within an agile team. You'll ensure product and process quality through advanced test methodologies, focusing on automation to integrate testing seamlessly into daily workflows. You'll design, implement, and maintain automated tests for both backend and frontend systems.
You'll collaborate with developers, business analysts, and requirement engineers to understand functional and non-functional requirements, evaluate reported bugs, and approve fixes. You'll share your testing expertise by mentoring and training other testers.
You'll work with international colleagues in a scaled agile software development program (SAFe, Scrum).
Experiences and requirements:
- Education: University degree in Computer Science/Business Informatics or similar.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer.
- Technical Skills: Experience with automating functional, integration, and regression tests of microservices, web applications, or web services. Deep knowledge of testing mobile applications (iOS and Android). Experience with cross-platform mobile application frameworks (like Capacitor, desirable). Experience with industry-standard test automation frameworks (ideally Cypress or Selenium). Proficiency in programming languages (JavaScript and/or TypeScript) and databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Certifications: ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), Agile Tester (CTFL-AT) extension, (desired).
- Language: Fluent English
- Mobility: As needed (typically 2-4 weeks per year to Germany or similar).
Skills & Competencies: High quality awareness, attention to detail, passion for error-free software, self-organization, teamwork, continuous learning, strong communication skills. Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban), and ideally, experience in the EV charging business is a plus.
