Role Summary: The Programmatic Trader will join the in-house programmatic team to launch, manage, and optimize programmatic campaigns using demand-side platforms (DSPs) to meet client objectives. This role requires a numbers-oriented, analytical self-starter with strong Excel skills and a minimum of one year hands-on DSP self-service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage, and optimize programmatic campaigns within the agency trading desk to meet client goals.
- Monitor campaign performance, brand safety, and viewability; maintain optimization logs and pacing snapshots.
- Manage campaign calendar, assets, screenshots, billing tracker, and pre/post-launch processes.
- Provide weekly performance snapshots and contribute optimizations and insights to analytics reporting.
- Identify and diagnose issues quickly, escalate appropriately, and maintain vendor and cross-agency relationships.
- Contribute to tactical media planning, forecasting, proposals, insertion orders, and launch documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working within DSPs in a self-service manner.
- Deep understanding of DSPs and their relationship to ad servers and data platforms; full campaign setup and budget management.
- Proven experience in campaign optimization, creative testing/rotation, and working with data vendors.
- Proficient with 3rd-party verification tools (e.g., DoubleVerify, IAS) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
- Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to collaborate with Media Planning and Analytics teams.
