About Slate: Slate is a new US Electric Vehicle company transforming the battery electric vehicle space.
Who we are looking for: As the PR Manager, you will play a critical role in defining, monitoring, and sustaining external relations, reporting directly to the Head of Public Relations and Communications. You will collaborate across the organization, contributing to innovative PR strategies, monitoring and measuring share of voice and other metrics.
What you get to do: Assist in developing industry-leading external communications strategies across media categories, working with the Head of PR and Communications. Identify new media and ways of working, along with the PR agency. Monitor media and share of voice, and own the relationship with agency support. Serve as company spokesperson at external events. Align internal and external communications objectives with PR, Social Media, Growth, and Experiential teams.
What you bring to the team: Bachelor's degree or experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field. 7+ years of PR experience (client-side, agency-side, media), with a proven track record of strategic story placements in automotive and non-automotive publications. Experience defining a brand's unique positioning, ensuring resonance with target audiences and alignment with company values. Durable relationships among automotive media and journalists/influencers in other areas. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, translating insights into actionable plans. Knowledge of PR tracking metrics, market research methodologies, and competitive analysis. Experience working in cross-functional teams and guiding projects through various departments (creative, social, and growth). Willingness to travel up to 25%. Must love cars!
