Full-Time QA Engineer - Portugal

We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Engineer to join our Technology Center in Portugal. You will join a local team that is part of a wider international development team spanning the US, Portugal, and India. You’ll contribute to the quality assurance of our core market research application and help develop our global QA practice.

What you'll do:

1. Responsible for the Product Quality of Major features & Minor Releases.
2. Understand requirements and scope; Identify inconsistencies and gaps in requirements and communicate with Product Owner.
3. Serve as a Quality Assurance Engineer on teams that execute projects from beginning to end, working with product management.
4. Maintain knowledge of the architecture of the platform and product features.
5. Maintain complete functional knowledge of the product.
6. Create and execute manual functional test cases.
7. Identify test cases for automation & discuss most efficient automation for identified cases.
8. Design, Create and Execute automated functional test cases.
9. Design, Create and Execute automated non-functional test cases (performance, Resiliency, Guardrails, Backwards compatibility).
10. Log defects and coordinate with developers to resolve them.
11. Setup and maintain test data.
12. Provide end-user perspective for feature under test.
13. Work closely with other teams for cross-functional requirements and collaboration.
14. Participate in design and code reviews.
15. Address areas of improvements in the automation framework and workflows.
16. Identify and implement QA processes in support of providing quality products.
17. Educate new hires and team members on application, tools, technologies, processes.
18. Follow community best practices and team SDLC guidelines.

Skills Required:

• 2 to 5 years of QA experience
• MS/BS in Software Engineering or related discipline
• 60% Manual / 40% Automation focus
• Experience in test automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Protractor)
• Knowledge in at least one programming language or scripting languages
• Experience with Object-Oriented design and development
• Strong test validation and test debugging skills
• Strong understanding of Software Quality Assurance concepts and practices
• Experience with Web-application/Cross browser testing
• Experience of Database testing
• Experience working with Cloud based applications (nice to have)
• Experience working in onshore-offshore model
• Familiarity working in Agile-Scrum environment and software production release process
