Regional Compliance Specialist at Cirrus, ensuring properties adhere to regulatory requirements from agencies like LIHTC, HUD, and local jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing compliance tasks (audits, inspections, reporting, and maintaining updated policies/procedures)
- Supporting and training staff on compliance and property management systems (Yardi)
- Fostering strong relationships with stakeholders
- Guiding site staff on compliance practices
- Communicating effectively with management teams
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements (LIHTC, HUD, HOME)
- Managing compliance tools (Secure Systems and SAVE)
- Conducting file reviews, audits, and research
- Reporting compliance issues, developing corrective action plans
- Communicating financial risks (payment delays, LIHTC violations)
- Keeping teams updated using tracking tools and workflows
- Meeting deadlines, maintaining organized records, communicating clearly
- Upholding confidentiality, fostering professional relationships
- Working with cross-functional teams to streamline processes
- Adapting to regulatory changes, improving compliance operations
- Developing innovative solutions
- Providing tailored support to teams

- 5+ years experience with Yardi, or similar affordable housing platform, and Microsoft Office 365
- Associate degree preferred, or equivalent experience
Certificates & Licenses: Industry certifications (COS, HCCP, CPM, CAM, etc.) preferred
Travel: 25% travel to multiple states
Location: Pacific Time Zone preferred
Annual Salary: $70,000
