Full-Time Retail Strategy Director

Retail Strategy Director leads ecommerce shopping strategy across client brands, developing insight-driven briefs and guiding results-oriented campaigns.

Responsibilities:

1. Develops compelling retail strategy leveraging commercial, shopper, ecommerce, and category data.
2. Writes insight-led creative briefs for retail media, performance creative, and omnichannel activations.
3. Communicates clearly and persuasively, translating retail challenges into actionable solutions for clients and internal teams.
4. Understands the retail landscape (DTC, Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.) to guide strategic decisions.
5. Uses Jellyfish tech and 3rd-party tools (e.g., Jungle Scout, Stackline) to track market share and identify growth opportunities.
6. Analyzes the competitive landscape (pricing, assortment, promotions) for strategic white space identification.
7. Partners with clients on promotional strategy, go-to-market planning, and full-funnel execution.
8. Develops trusted client relationships understanding their priorities, category dynamics, and organizational structures.
9. Identifies and activates business growth opportunities, including cross-selling Jellyfish capabilities and upselling solutions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in media strategy, planning, or cross-channel buying.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing brand, digital marketing, and planning strategies.
• Expert in using data and insights to inform decisions.
• Strong passion for creative problem-solving and driving innovative approaches.
• Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience managing people or teams (mentoring capacity).
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail skills.
• Project management skills and business acumen.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Adaptable, versatile, and able to cope under pressure.

Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 USD per year
