As an SDET I at Entain's In-House Studios, you will contribute to the quality assurance of our games by testing their functionality, performance, and compliance with industry standards. This junior role is ideal for someone eager to start their journey in software testing, with a focus on learning and growing their skills.
You will assist in testing activities and collaborate with your team to ensure our players enjoy a seamless and engaging gaming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing of games to verify quality, functionality, and compliance with standards.
- Test Support: Assist in defining and documenting test strategies under the guidance of senior team members.
- Collaboration: Work closely with QA engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand testing goals and objectives.
- Learning and Development: Build knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices through training and hands-on experience.
- Issue Reporting: Identify and document issues, ensuring they are reported accurately and tracked to resolution.
Skills & Experience:
- Basic understanding of software applications, including web or mobile platforms
- Enthusiasm to learn and grow in software testing, including areas like test planning, defect tracking, and reporting
- Awareness of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Positive, proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability to changing requirements
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to take direction and work independently when needed
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA or Testrail (though not required)
- Awareness of gambling regulations or compliance standards in gaming (training provided as needed)
- Interest in learning about automated testing and its tools
- Exposure to testing concepts, such as exploratory or performance testing, is a plus but not essential
- Strong organizational and communication skills
