Overall Purpose of Job: This role supports the complete and accurate financial statement for KOSTAL entities. The Senior Accountant understands financial processes' impact on financial statements, identifies anomalies, and reports them to the team lead.
Main tasks, roles and responsibilities:
- Transitions accounting processes from European entities to Hungary, shaping processes in line with global governance.
- Ensures timely and accurate accounting data reporting, including analysis and research.
- Supports local statutory accounting (local GAAP compliance) and statutory financial report preparation.
- Prepares reporting packages for group consolidation (German GAAP).
- Contributes to management report and financial information analysis (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Manages team operations (second-in-command).
- Coordinates knowledge transfer and post-go-live finance process stabilization.
- Contributes to defining a closing schedule, optimizing procedures, and promoting collaboration.
- Leads and participates in assigned projects (process optimization).
- Identifies, evaluates, and resolves issues.
- Adheres to service levels, policies, and procedures.
- Contributes to internal controls and regular execution.
- Engages with external auditors and business stakeholders.
- Provides customer service and tracks GL and Asset Ledger performance.
Education: University degree in Economics/Finance (Accounting/Business preferred), Hungarian National accounting certificate (Mérlegképes) preferred.
Experience: 5-8 years in Accounting (GL and Asset Ledger).
Technical/IT: SAP FI Module, Microsoft Office.
Language: Fluent English.
