Full-Time Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to join our team. This role will play a vital part in managing financial records, ensuring accounting accuracy, and assisting with daily financial operations. 1. Daily Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial transaction records (sales, receipts, payments).
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, track receivables, ensure timely bill payments.
3. Bank and Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, other financial accounts monthly.
4. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing and distributing monthly financial statements (balance sheets, profit & loss reports).
5. Expense Tracking: Record, categorize, and monitor business expenses for tax purposes.
6. Tax Compliance: Support tax filing document preparation, ensure adherence to regulations.
7. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with budget creation, forecasts, and financial analyses.
8. General Ledger Maintenance: Record and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
9. Year-End Close Support: Assist with year-end procedures, including reconciliations and audits.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or similar role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, or similar accounting software.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in small business bookkeeping.
• Knowledge of payroll systems and tax filing procedures.
• Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
