Job Details
The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of accounting systems, internal controls, compliance with accounting principles, and risk management. This role includes managing various accounting activities to ensure adherence to relevant standards and policies, as well as external audit requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing accounts payable and payroll functions.
- Managing monthly account closings.
- Preparing reports to support financial statements.
- Collaborating with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Analyzing the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Identifying opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within the accounting function.
- Participating in strategic planning and contributing to financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Conducting thorough audits of financial documents to identify any discrepancies or non-compliance issues.
- Preparing comprehensive financial documentation and reports for external auditors during annual audits.
- Ensuring that all general ledger entries are accurate, complete, and posted in a timely manner.
- Reviewing records for accuracy and completeness.
- Preparing any necessary year-end documentation for auditors and regulatory agencies.
- Executing other relevant duties as assigned.
