Full-Time Senior AI Programmer

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior AI Programmer to join the team working on Cyberpunk 2. This role involves creating advanced AI behaviors to build believable worlds for the game.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers and other developers to define and implement AI systems.
• Develop and maintain core AI systems for the open world.
• Create debug and designer tools for AI systems.
• Write high-quality, optimized, and bug-free C++ code aligned with project goals.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective integration with all game systems.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional game development experience as a programmer.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine.
• Console hardware expertise (current-gen).
• Geometric algorithm and data structure knowledge.
• AI system development experience.
• Multi-threaded system programming experience.
• Deep understanding of Unreal Engine internals, especially Blackboards and Smart Objects.
• 3D mathematics knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective technical communication.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Mass AI in Unreal 5
• Experience with ECS or Mass Framework
• AAA title development experience

Working Mode:

Choose between remote-first or office-first.

Remote-First: Work from home or within 3 hours of the GMT+3 time zone.

Office-First: Work primarily from Warsaw, Wrocław, or Kraków offices for a minimum of 10 days per month.
