We lead the BIM process at organizational, program, and project levels, including:
- Discovery and understanding
- Client adoption strategy and strategic project setup
- Project and program BIM execution planning
- BIM implementation, information management, and supply chain management
- BIM compliance checking and data verification
The Senior BIM Manager - Civil will work alongside a highly skilled team implementing BIM from strategy to project level for global clients.
Duties include:
- Capturing client requirements and developing a Civil BIM strategy.
- Providing proactive and strategic leadership for the civil engineering discipline.
- Authoring key BIM documentation and workflows aligned with industry best practice.
- Leading and managing the roll-out and implementation of BIM within client organizations.
- Developing a BIM Strategy for Civil across multiple projects.
- Communicating the BIM strategy, documentation, and workflows to stakeholders.
- Identifying risks and appropriate mitigations.
- Interfacing with clients, design teams, and contractors.
- Leading and managing a team.
- Facilitating stakeholder meetings and workshops.
- Carrying out structured reviews of project models.
- Carrying out clash detection of project models.
- Analyzing construction documentation.
- Analyzing and interpreting data against project requirements.
- Writing detailed reports.
- Peer reviewing colleague work, maintaining Turner & Townsend quality.
- Supporting colleagues with project deliverables.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of Turner & Townsend BIM documentation and processes.
- Creating and contributing to bid proposals.
- Providing line management to colleagues.
- Carrying out research and development of emerging technologies.
- Adhering to SOX control responsibilities (where applicable).
- Acting as an ambassador for Turner & Townsend's digital services.
Requirements include a degree or demonstrable experience, working knowledge of industry and international BIM standards, a strong understanding of construction and civil engineering, and experience using 3D modelling software (like Civil3D, Revit, ArchiCAD) and 3D model interrogation/clash detection software (like Solibri, Navisworks). Skills include proactive strategic leadership, ability to define and write BIM strategies and implementation plans, clear communication, presentation, and workshop skills.
Compensation: $130,000 - $155,000 per year. (Base salary only).
