Reporting to the EDI leadership team, the Senior EDI Analyst will support Experian Health's Patient Access Curator team through monitoring, evaluating, and optimizing product performance by collaborating with clients, internal, and external members. The goal is product, service, and delivery excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in meetings to define detailed requirements for EDI solutions.
- Determine solution feasibility with partners.
- Use product knowledge, technical expertise, and business knowledge in revenue cycle management to provide strategic vision, assessing and escalating issues.
- Analyze past/present eligibility information to build comparable data models.
- Identify and address potential issues with valid response data.
- Develop strategies for using EDI and web-based transactions.
- Host external working sessions with trading partners, vendors, and clients.
- Investigate existing options to satisfy requirements and make recommendations to reduce effort and duplication.
- Translate user requests into technical form for developers.
- Manage multiple product configurations concurrently with increasing complexity (multi-year, facility, product, client, host systems, risk level).
- Identify cross-product dependencies and manage configurations to accommodate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience as an EDI analyst, business analyst, implementation specialist, or client/payer-side experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
- Knowledge of EDI protocols and standards (27x and 83x healthcare transactions).
- Understanding of HL7 and X12 message/file formats and transactions.
- SQL query experience.
- Good technical knowledge of business unit products and operations.
- Strong information management skills, with a comprehensive understanding of implementation and beyond.
