We are seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist with a Master's Degree in environmental science or public health for our Health Sciences Department.
Summary/Objective: This CIH will join a collaborative team supporting human health-based consulting services for various industrial, commercial, and governmental clients.
The work involves strong professional knowledge of risk assessment, exposure assessment, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, and applying multi-disciplinary approaches (chemistry, biological sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health) to research projects concerning exposure effects from materials, chemicals, or biological agents.
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply environmental science competence with specialized knowledge of chemistry, industrial hygiene, and biological science.
- Resolve client EH&S concerns and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Travel by air, sea, and land for project locations.
- Perform exposure and risk assessments (asbestos, benzene, silica, etc.).
- Conduct research, development, and planning for comprehensive reports.
- Collaborate with team members and maintain excellent client relationships.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree (M.S. or M.P.H.) in Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Knowledge, training, or education in exposure assessment, risk assessment, toxicology, epidemiology, chemistry, and/or biostatistics is preferred.
- Experience assessing exposures and health/safety hazards in the workplace.
- Experience with retrospective exposure assessments and EPA/NIOSH/OSHA risk assessment methodology.
- Previous deposition or expert testimony experience is a plus.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications:
- Full-time salaried position.
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- May require rapid response outside normal business hours and weekend work.
- Local and out-of-town travel may be required.
