Full-Time Director, Provider Contract Operations

About the role

Lead the strategy, program design, and execution for provider contracting operations.

Oversee development and maintenance of all provider contracting documentation (provider manuals, contract templates, training materials).

Support internal teams and external providers to ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance.

Drive provider network campaigns supporting growth and development initiatives.

Ensure cross-functional collaboration and operational insight for high-impact, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Set, drive, and execute department strategy and vision to enhance overall value.
2. Understand competitive landscape, act as thought leader for the department.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally to bring new ideas to life, hold accountable.
4. Program manage key company and department strategy initiatives.
5. Report to senior leadership on business health.
6. Drive budgeting and fiscal performance with leadership.
7. Develop and grow direct reports, support professional development.
8. Adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 10+ years healthcare strategy & operations, incl. provider contracting/relations.
• 6+ years management experience.
• 3+ years leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives.

Location

Oscar is a blended work culture with remote/work-from-home option.

Must reside in one of listed states (Alabama, Arizona, etc.).

Office visits required in NYC, Tempe, or LA (at least 2 days/week).

Compensation

Pay varies based on location:

• CA, CT, NJ, NY, WA: $174,400 - $228,900/year
• Other locations: $156,960 - $206,010/year

Includes employee benefits, unlimited vacation, equity grants, & annual bonuses.
