About the Role

Are you an accounting expert who thrives in fast-paced, startup environments? If you're detail-oriented, reliable, and ready for a challenge, we want to meet you! As a Senior GL Accountant, you'll work closely with our Controller, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, accruals, financial statements, and other key accounting functions to support our growth.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Accounts Payable: Manage AP tasks, from obtaining approvals to inputting data into Ramp and QuickBooks Online (QBO), and maintaining vendor records.
  2. Month-End Close Procedures: Oversee the reconciliation process, make closing entries (including prepaids, accruals, payroll allocations, and deferred revenue), and assist with month-end reporting.
  3. Sales Tax: Support the team in processing sales tax and ensuring compliance.
  4. Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare journal entries, and generate reports as needed.
  5. Financial Statement Preparation: Assist with the creation of financial statements for internal and external reporting.
  6. Documentation & Filing: Maintain essential business documents and ensure proper organization of physical and digital filing systems.
  7. Annual Processes: Contribute to the preparation of annual reports, including 1099s and the annual budget.
  8. Vendor Management: Set up new vendors, manage vendor records, reconcile statements, and resolve discrepancies.
  9. Cash Management: Manage banking transactions, including wire transfers, credit card payments, ACH transfers, and other financial activities.
  10. Expense Reports: Review and process expense reports, ensuring proper disclosure and compliance.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience required
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets
  • Stripe and Ramp experience strongly preferred
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to interact seamlessly with both internal teams and external contacts.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and acting with integrity.
