Human Resources Business Partner provides human resources consultation, support, and solutions to designated regional business units or functions. Interprets HR policies, programs, and guidelines. Handles employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, learning & development, and other HR areas.
Acts as acquisition integration manager for HR function, managing HR aspects of acquisitions across US businesses.
100% Remote Position on the East Coast or Central US. Serves as the main contact for assigned business units on all HR matters.
Provides guidance to business leaders to promote engagement, productivity, and retention, improve work relationships, boost morale, and support diversity & inclusion.
Partners with business leaders and line managers to assess business, processes, concerns, and challenges to ensure integrated HR solutions align with business needs.
Manages employee relations issues, diagnosing root causes and identifying appropriate interventions. Conducts thorough, objective investigations, and recommends methods to prevent future issues.
Supports business leaders in developing and implementing optimal organizational structures.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) to line management.
Provides input for job reclassifications, staff reassignments, reorganizations, and reductions in workforce.
Prepares paperwork for transfers, promotions, severance, and involuntary terminations. Utilizes workforce data analysis for improved business effectiveness.
Reviews HR policies & practices, recommending improvements to achieve HR business plan goals. Ensures compliance with labor laws, company policies, and procedures.
Partners with regional HR teams for workforce planning, talent acquisition & retention, talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, and organizational design.
Partners with Compensation to resolve complex compensation issues, creating job descriptions and career ladders, providing job evaluations for internal equity and market competitiveness. Supports annual performance reviews and salary increase processes.
Assists in Affirmative Action Plan development and implementation with the regional compliance team.
Represents HR on cross-functional teams and participates in SGS projects. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements for day-to-day employee management, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Partners with legal department as needed.
Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
