About the role We’re looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our agile Quality Engineering team, supporting our engineering teams. You’ll drive quality practices from design to product release.
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, engineering) to integrate quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead quality initiatives and drive test automation practices for robust, scalable solutions.
- Develop and maintain automated tests (web and mobile) using tools like Playwright, Appium, and WebdriverIO with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Utilize data factories and APIs to create new tests.
- Create architectural functionality to support automated test creation (e.g., Stripe, Buy Now Pay Later).
- Implement CI changes and debug failing tests.
- Improve quality processes, tools, and frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews, sharing expertise to improve testing and quality practices.
- Drive standards and best practices around test automation, quality, and development.
- Evaluate innovative testing approaches, including AI-powered strategies.
- Own end-to-end test strategies, from design to execution.
- Turn project requirements into test cases for traceability.
- Perform comprehensive testing: requirements/design analysis, feature testing, exploratory testing, regression testing, and UI/UX.
What you'll need to be successful
- Proficiency in English (CEFR Level C2/ILR Level 5)
- 5+ years of test automation experience, focusing on web applications. Mobile experience a plus.
- Proven track record of implementing technical projects architecturally.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
- High proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience with CI implementation, maintenance, and debugging (BuildKite)
- Strong technical judgment, understanding quality best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead quality initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive approach to quality (shift-left), identifying and solving issues early.
- Familiarity with AI-driven testing.
Compensation $110,000 - $130,000 USD per year (cash compensation range is a starting point)
