Senior Solution Architect is a leader in the Hitachi Solutions organization, envisioning innovative, automated solutions in the Microsoft cloud environment. Part of the Delivery Go To Market team, this role partners with sales to drive solutions from inception to close, ensuring customer needs are met. Partners with Delivery Domains from project initiation to blueprint, ensuring presales vision carries through delivery.
Works with clients to scope engagements, discover/analyze requirements, and define architectures with clients, sales, and implementation teams. Must communicate effectively with client IT leadership and C-suite, translating business needs into technical architecture, development standards, and data/process governance. A hands-on leadership position in a demanding environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Microsoft and partner organizations to maintain Hitachi Solutions' technology leadership.
- Develops and defines business application solution offerings and reference architectures with sales, marketing, and delivery domains.
- Understands customer requirements, translating them into innovative Dynamics 365 cloud solutions leveraging Hitachi Solutions' capabilities.
- Contributes to crafting sales deals that deliver end-to-end solutions for customers.
- Develops conceptual solution blueprints during the sales process.
- Collaborates with internal/external teams to define project scope, conduct customer meetings, and gather information.
- Assists with sales document creation (estimates, statements of work, RFPs, proposal presentations).
- Contributes to refining communications, workshop templates, processes, and practices for the Solution Architecture team.
- Onboards Delivery Domains to the defined conceptual architecture.
- Supports customer satisfaction through effective communication across customer units.
- Facilitates project architecture reviews to ensure logical solution alignment.
- Reviews project outcomes, identifying lessons learned and refinements.
- Collaborates on identifying automation to accelerate discovery and solution identification.
- Supports internal engagement through open communication across Hitachi Solutions practice areas.
- Travels up to 50% annually to support sales pursuits.
Qualifications:
- Mastery of Dynamics 365 solutions, including design, architecture, configuration, customization, and deployment.
- 8+ years' experience delivering complex enterprise solutions using Microsoft Dynamics or similar, from a technology consulting firm or large corporation.
- 8+ years' experience working with cross-functional teams.
- 4+ years' experience in pre-sales activities (deal costing, resource planning).
- Experience with Power Platform, Power Apps, Data/AI, Customer Insights, Power BI (preferred).
- Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and support geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed learning, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Experience in contract development (preferred).
- Relevant Microsoft certification(s) (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
Compensation: $162,000 - $247,000 CAD
