Responsibilities:
- Implementing tax processes worldwide as well as domestic and international tax planning within Asia-Pacific.
- Managing direct and indirect tax aspects globally, including Corporate, Federal and State tax, VAT, GST, Sales tax, Withholding tax and other levies.
- Review the tax implications of international mobile employees or contractors.
- Monitoring the Group’s tax policy (Transfer pricing studies, tax structures etc) and handling tax audits on a worldwide basis.
- Adhering to tax regulations and investigating new tax laws and developments and their respective impacts on the Company.
- Assisting the Finance team and Legal/Sales/operations team with tax matters, questions, tax training and collaborating with outside advisors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxation in an APAC country.
- 5/6 years of related experience in a large MNC and/or a Big 4 firm.
- Solid tax knowledge and familiar with worldwide tax regulations and standards interpretation.
- Experienced communicator with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Efficient and creative problem-solver, comfortable with ambiguity, complexity, and nuance.
- Proficient in MS Office tools and Web applications knowledge.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communicational skills in English.
