Job Overview:
The Senior Technical Analyst ensures the operational efficiency of assigned application systems, integrating them seamlessly into Northwestern Medicine's IT environment. This includes analyzing performance, planning upgrades, and providing technical support to users.
Responsibilities:
- General Technical Skills: Maintains expertise in assigned systems, understanding their integration with other services. Provides leadership and support for computing systems and integration.
- Performance Analysis: Conducts performance and capacity analysis, recommending improvements for system reliability.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Coordinates problem resolution with vendors and manufacturers across server and distributed systems.
- Customer Service: Responds promptly to customer needs, manages relationships, and ensures issue resolution.
- Project Support: Works effectively with project and technical teams, participating in communication and planning.
- Business Understanding: Understudies the business and clinical processes within Northwestern Medicine.
- Communication: Effectively communicates with users and team members, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Planning: Develops project plans and recommendations for system changes. Establishes and enforces application standards, participating in long-range system planning.
- Personal and Staff Development: Integrates user feedback with software enhancements, mentors team members and shares knowledge.
- Teamwork: Promotes collaboration, adaptability, and contributes to the IS Knowledge Repository.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in core discipline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in core discipline in the healthcare industry
