CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Technical Artist focused on Tools and Pipelines for Project Orion, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of in-house tools and pipelines to support content creation teams.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and developers to understand needs and ensure tool and pipeline effectiveness.
- Extend and improve DCC applications (Maya, Motionbuilder, etc.).
- Maintain efficient workflows while ensuring tool scalability and performance.
- Develop optimized, bug-free code aligned with project goals.
- Prototype, research, extend, and integrate in-house and third-party tools.
- Document, train, and guide development teams.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to support all game systems and components.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a tools & pipeline developer or technical artist in game or film.
- Strong C++, C#, and/or Python tool/plugin development and scripting experience.
- Familiarity with content creation software (Blender, Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter).
- Understanding of content creation processes and supporting diverse teams.
- Experience creating, extending, and maintaining APIs for co-developers.
- Familiarity with application interoperability.
- Experience with network automation, batching, and packaged environment setups.
- Creative and strategic thinking to solve technical challenges and drive innovation.
- Commitment to taking ownership, setting goals, sharing knowledge, and driving initiatives independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively communicating complex concepts.
Nice to Haves: (Not Required)
- Familiarity with procedural content systems.
- Familiarity with UI/UX design patterns and paradigms.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5.
- Content performance/memory optimization experience.
Working Mode:
Choose between remote-first or office-first.
- Office-First: Primarily from Warsaw, Wroclaw, or Cracow office (minimum 10 days/month).
- Remote-First: From home or within 3 hours of GMT+3.
