As the leading platform for Daily Fantasy Sports, we cover a diverse range of sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, and Esports titles like League of Legends and Counter-Strike. Our team of over 450 employees thrives in an inclusive culture that values individuals from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their level of sports fandom. Ready to reimagine the DFS industry together? We are seeking an experienced and thoughtful Senior UX Researcher with a proven track record of constructing and delivering mixed-methods research to join our Accounts and Growth team!
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, capable of conducting both generative and evaluative studies and transforming data into actionable insights and recommendations for improving our product experiences.
As a Sr. UX Researcher, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to ensure user-centricity remains at the core of our product development efforts.
What you’ll do:
- Own the end-to-end research process within Accounts and Growth, including prioritizing & scoping research opportunities, recruiting participants, collecting data, synthesizing and analyzing data, and delivering findings
- Partner closely with cross-functional team members in identifying key research objectives and questions to address research needs across the product lifecycle
- Use a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to discover actionable user insights, including surveys, field studies, usability tests, 1:1 interviews, diary studies, CSAT, etc.
- Synthesize learnings across different studies, in partnership with other analytics functions (e.g., market research, business intelligence, and data science) to effectively tell compelling stories about our users rooted in data
- Translate research findings into actionable insights, and strategic narratives through compelling storytelling and creative artifacts, reports, and read-outs
- Communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations clearly and effectively to key stakeholders, including senior management
- Support the development and maintenance of a research roadmap that aligns with the Accounts and Growth business goals and objectives
What you have:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in UX Research, Design Research, or Human Factors Engineering
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Psychology, Human Factors, HCI, Anthropology, or related field
- Strong proficiency with mixed-methods research (qualitative and quantitative) and executing both evaluative and generative studies.
- Must be proficient in survey writing and analysis.
- A portfolio of case studies highlighting your end-to-end research process and the impact your work had on an organization, team, product, and/or feature
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence stakeholders
- Experience with remote testing tools (e.g., dscout, UserTesting, Qualtrics, etc.)
- A deep curiosity and passion for uncovering user needs, motivations, behaviors, and pain points
- Bonus points for having comfort/familiarity with advanced quantitative methods (e.g., A/B testing, log data analysis, MaxDiff) and data analysis tools/programming languages (e.g., R, SQL, and/or Python)
Where you’ll live: While we prefer candidates based in Atlanta, we are open to qualified applicants from anywhere in the U.S. and are willing to consider remote candidates.
