SVP, Health Care Economics is a critical leadership role driving Privia Health's value-based care (VBC) strategy. This role will lead a team, providing strategic direction and hands-on guidance for optimizing VBC program performance, forecasting, and financial management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and empower a team of analytical healthcare executives.
- Establish and drive detailed analytical processes.
- Cultivate partnerships with key stakeholders (national and market VBC operations, payer contracting, and finance).
- Develop and execute strategic plans for VBC forecasting, valuation, and reserving.
- Lead the annual budget and multi-year forecast process for VBC programs.
- Oversee financial evaluation and reserve management of VBC programs.
- Spearhead the composition, underwriting, and performance monitoring of Privia’s MSSP ACOs.
- Provide thought leadership on CMS VBC models and regulatory changes.
- Champion the use of advanced benchmarking tools.
- Direct analytical support for VBC-related operations (cost, utilization, referral network).
- Design and administer equitable physician VBC shared savings distributions.
- Evaluate and support clinical programs and effectiveness.
- Provide analytical support to VBC operations, payer contracting, finance, and business development.
- Lead and execute operational and strategic plan annual value-based care forecasting initiatives.
- Serve as a key subject-matter expert on Medicare Fee-For-Service initiatives.
- Manage the budget and allocate resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PhD, FSA/ASA, or Master’s) in a quantitative field.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience leading analytics teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in CMS MSSP/REACH and managed care VBC programs.
- Proven success in financial planning, forecasting, and VBC program valuation.
- Expertise in leveraging payer claims and EMR data.
- Proficiency with contemporary analytical tools and programming languages.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
Salary Range: $200,000-$237,000 (base pay).
Bonus & Benefits: Bonus targeted at 30% and restricted stock units are possible.Technical Requirements (Remote Only):
