About the SPRUCE IDIQ: A $2.4B contract to improve user experiences for veterans, covering five areas. This role is contingent on contract award.
What You'll Be Doing: As a Service Designer, join the Cartography and Shared Portal Support team, modernizing a mobile app for Veterans to access benefits. Responsibilities include:
- Mapping service experiences (journey maps, service blueprints).
- Analyzing user research insights to identify pain points.
- Collaborating with UX designers, researchers, and technologists to co-design solutions.
- Facilitating workshops and co-design sessions with stakeholders.
- Contributing to strategy and roadmapping for service improvements.
- Communicating complex systems and rationale through clear visuals and documentation.
- Championing human-centered design practices in federal digital services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree + 4 years experience, or equivalent.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating service design deliverables (journey maps, etc.).
- Experience working on multidisciplinary teams in agile environments.
- Familiarity with human-centered design and customer experience frameworks.
- Comfort navigating complex, regulated environments.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
Nice to Have: Experience with federal agencies, 21st Century IDEA, or accessibility standards.
