Senior Data Engineer for the Data & Analytics team, build data pipelines to land, profile, and store multiple internal & external datasets, and build applications to support business partners' strategic decision making.
Work in an agile environment with flexible product specifications. Focus on backend engineering with cyber compliance. Contribute to the Data Product roadmap by understanding business challenges and developing analytical tools.
Leverage prototyping for creative business solutions. Utilize a broad toolset (AWS tech stack, data lake, Python, Spark, Scala, Iceberg, EMR Serverless, SNS, SQS, AWS Lambda, Step Functions, Event Triggers).
Educate business partners on architecture, capabilities, best practices, and solutions. Assist in analyzing business requirements, data sources, transformation requirements, data mapping, data model, and metadata for reporting.
Write clear documentation and architecture diagrams. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience. 1+ years in Data Modeling, Data architecture, Data Quality, Metadata, ETL, and Data Warehouse methodologies and technologies.
Experience as an engineering lead implementing scalable, distributed systems using AWS. Experience in SQL, AWS EMR/Lambda, Iceberg, Linux, Python, Web technologies, APIs, Spark, Scala. 2+ years’ experience with AWS tech stack.
Desired Characteristics: Experience in the Media industry with linear & digital platforms (Operative One, Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, WO Traffic). Experience in Snowflake (or Redshift, SingleStore, Athena, MSSQL Server, Oracle) is desired.
Strong analytical focus, results-oriented, execution-driven, problem-solving skills. Ability to work in cross-functional teams with multiple business units, vendors, countries, and cultures. Self-driven, resourceful, and committed, able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
