Full-Time Staff Accountant

ALIS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including the preparation of financial statements, management of accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
2. Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and general ledger entries.
3. Analyze general ledger balances, investigate variances, and review account reconciliations.
4. Lead daily accounting activities to ensure proper recording of transactions according to GAAP.
5. Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities.
6. Respond to invoice questions and manage credit card reconciliations.
7. Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.
8. Assist in business system implementation projects.
9. Prepare schedules and support documentation for monthly reporting and annual audit.
10. Manage ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Sage Intacct a plus).
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting and finance tech platforms (Sage Intacct).
