The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for meeting assigned quota by selling to new and existing customers in the assigned territory. The role is customer-facing and requires significant time spent building and maintaining meaningful relationships with enterprise clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop territory plans for assigned accounts, in collaboration with management.
- Develop product knowledge, mapping to customer strategic imperatives and articulating business value to C-suite, technical, product, and finance teams.
- Plan engagement activities to build and maintain enterprise accounts, delivering long-term benefits while exceeding quota.
- Qualify sales opportunities using the MEDDPICC methodology.
- Leverage Force Management sales methodology in customer interactions to drive positive outcomes.
- Identify, cultivate, and formalize relationships with key partners and third parties involved in selling information security solutions.
- Follow up on leads (incoming and self-generated), articulating the need for identity security and privileged access management.
- Lead the entire sales cycle, from lead generation through proof of value, negotiation, contracting, and deal closing.
- Accurately forecast business and maintain Salesforce CRM.
- Operate effectively within the Account Executive team and lead cross-functional teams (e.g., go-to-market, marketing).
- Collaborate with channel partners to expand sales and delivery reach.
- Negotiate terms/pricing and close deals.
- Demonstrate success in SaaS and subscription sales, preferably with large enterprise software solutions.
- Relate IT to business objectives; understand use cases and requirements for securing sensitive data and IT systems.
- Possess knowledge in Cybersecurity, Identity Management, Database Management, SIEM, Compliance, Information Security, or Enterprise IT.
- Maintain an active network of contacts across the Enterprise customer ecosystem.
