NBCUniversal is launching a groundbreaking interactive gaming experience and seeks key talent for leadership roles. As the AI/ML Principal Engineer, you'll drive the design, development, and implementation of our gaming projects.
You'll collaborate with design, art, and production teams to ensure high-quality, high-performance games.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers.
- Oversee the game development lifecycle (concept to launch).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements.
- Establish coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot technical issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Manage project timelines.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Qualifications:
- PhD and/or postdoctoral experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong research and problem-solving skills in technical domains.
- 10+ years of experience in game development.
- Proficiency in C++, C#, or Java.
- Strong understanding of game development.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaboration.
- Experience leading a research agenda and driving innovation in AI/ML models.
- Demonstrated expertise in geospatial data and AI/ML applications.
Desired Characteristics:
- Strong understanding of game design.
- Unreal Engine experience.
- AI/ML knowledge.
- Version control experience (e.g., Git).
