Full-Time UX Architect

CapTech's Customer Experience (CX) team seeks a UX Architect with a track record of designing sophisticated, intuitive, and impactful digital brand experiences informed by user research and accessibility best practices.

Our UX Architects are passionate problem-solvers who ensure alignment between user goals, behaviors, and attitudes with business objectives. They stay current with the latest research tools and methods for understanding user behavior and approach training with curiosity.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading persona, customer journey, conceptual prototype, and responsive interface creation following interaction design and usability best practices.
• Leading advanced design activities such as design workshops, rapid prototyping, and iterative user testing.
• Producing clean, informative presentations communicating design rationale to clients and internal teams.
• Advocating accessible design and usability with clients and team members.
• Providing insightful feedback on designs (interactions, information architecture, content).
• Performing competitive assessments and proposing innovative alternatives.
• Discussing scope and level of effort with senior team members.
• Mentoring other practitioners and overseeing their work.
• Volunteering for CX leadership opportunities.
• Attending and leading CX meetings and trainings.
• Engaging in professional development.
• Seeking to mentor others.
• Providing design oversight.

Qualifications include:

• 5+ years experience, ideally in a consulting or agency context.
• 4+ year degree in design, fine arts, or related field.
• Strong conceptual, visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of interaction design and usability principles.
• Proven understanding of user research, usability testing, product strategy, heuristic analysis, information architecture, user research, user interface and interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Figma expertise preferred, proficiency in comparable design tools (Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of Agile product development lifecycles and practices.
• Familiarity with WCAG and other accessibility guidelines and standards.
