VFX Production Assistant IO SENIOR - NIGHT SHIFT

Job Description

This role follows a night shift schedule, 12 PM to 9 PM.

The VFX Production Assistant IO supports the Production team throughout project lifecycle (start to delivery).

Ensures smooth file management and Input/Output (IO) workflows for efficient data exchange between clients, internal teams, and external vendors.

Key Accountabilities

1. Production Support: Daily administrative support (organizing documents, creating playlists, meeting notes, database updates).
2. File & Data Management: Receiving/transferring project materials, sharing with stakeholders, utilizing Linux command line IO workflow to download/ingest materials (plates, references, onset data) ensuring compliance with naming conventions and folder structures. Converting files to optimize efficiency, maintaining compliance with technical delivery specifications, processing, quality checking, uploading versions for client review, handling client review notes, and assisting in show closure.
3. Outsource and Vendors Collaboration: Preparing/uploading bid package materials, downloading/ingesting outsource vendor versions using Linux command line IO workflow, gathering internal feedback and uploading to designated platform.
4. Technical & Cross-Department Collaboration: Assisting the Imaging Department in setting up IO graphs, working closely with TD Developers, IT, and Render Management teams to troubleshoot data transfer/delivery issues.

Experience

• Administrative experience.
• Input/Output (IO) workflow experience is an asset.
• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
• Understanding of VFX or editorial processes is an asset.
• G Suite knowledge.
• Flow Production Tracking (ShotGrid) knowledge is an asset.
• Linux command knowledge is an asset.
