Contractor Aboriginal Programme Liaison Officer

In this critical role, you’ll be helping make a difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples through:

• Cultural Advisory & Mentorship: Providing expert cultural mentorship and guidance on rehabilitation cases involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
• Supporting Rehabilitation Consultants through culturally responsive initiatives.
• Advocating for the cultural needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
• Recommending culturally appropriate community supports.
• Attending site visits and stakeholder meetings where cultural advice is required.
• Educating stakeholders on cultural considerations.
• Assisting in the delivery of our culturally responsive Australia Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Recovery and Return to Work Programme.
• Assisting in co-ordinating monthly cultural champion meetings.

• Community Engagement: Building and nurturing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Representing WorkFocus at forums and events.
• Identifying and onboarding culturally safe Treaters and support services for wellbeing.
• Identifying and connecting clients with appropriate community supports.

What You’ll Bring To The Role:

• Deep cultural knowledge and trusted networks within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
• Experience mentoring professionals and delivering community-based programmes
• Strong communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Understanding of rehabilitation, injury management, or human services would be beneficial
